May 25, 2012 – Hospice Kingston

Hospice Kingston put on an evening of dance, music and entertainment May 25th at McArthur College Auditorium.  Participating performers included 5678 Dance Studio, Veils of Isis, Kingston’s Down Home Cloggers, Kingston Chinese Dance Troupe, Abominable Showmen, Phantom of the Opera Singers, CARD Rock Band, Lauren Carson, Open Voices Community Choir and Rob Roy Highland Dancers!

We performed two numbers.  First the gold medal winning broadsword, performed by Alicia McMullen, Maggie Cantarutti, Gillian Wallace and Fiona Duffe.   The crowd was so impressed with their ability to dance over real swords without getting hurt!

Lindsay Bell and Rebekah Massouh

Second was a cake walk number, performed by Rebekah Massouh and Lindsay Bell.  This number was well received with lots of laughter, as this number is quite funny.  Rebekah portrays a boy looking for a gal, and Lindsay is the gal that he is looking for.  After many tries and one slap, Rebekah finally got her gal!

The dancers of Rob Roy love doing this show as it involves many different dance groups and provides the group with an opportunity to perform for a good cause!
