Drumming Lessons

Instruction

The Rob Roy drumming program is taught by qualified members of the senior band. The instructors are experienced players and competitors that have proven to be proficient at a high level. They are under the direction of Scott Nicholson who has achieved success at the highest levels of solo drumming and pipe band competition and is also a member of the Music Committee and a certified adjudicator for the Pipers & Pipe Band Society of Ontario (PPBSO).

Drumming Classes

Classes currently run on Tuesday evenings at St Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic School in Kingston’s west end. They are available for new beginners to advanced students starting at age seven (by Christmas).

Classes begin in September, follow the school calendar year, and end in June with a final concert. Lessons are usually one hour, depending on the experience level. Fall registration information will be available in August.
